Ever wish you were a wall-jumping, arrow-dodging, trap-setting horse, besting your animal pals in a race through a peril-laden obstacle course?
Ultimate Chicken Horse is the ultimate challenge in platform gaming. You have to masterfully build each game level to stump your foes and ensure your path to success. You and your friends take turns placing items from our huge inventory of blocks, projectiles, traps and contraptions before running through the level. If you can make it to the finish but your friends can’t, you get a point! The cycle repeats as you add and modify the level before trying to run through it again.
And for a different kind of challenge, you can try out the single player mode, where you're given a preset selection of blocks to use to build a route to the end of the level. You will have to hone both your agility and puzzle solving skills. Extra challenges include finding ways to beat the level in record time, using as few blocks as possible, and picking up collectibles along the way.
Choose your character from this boisterous bunch of animals to compete for glory while traveling to ever more daring and outlandish places. How far from the farm you will go and who will join the game is yet to be seen.

We’re going to PAX East as part of the Indie MEGABOOTH! Super exciting stuff. We were in the MEGABOOTH at PAX Prime in Seattle, and this time it will be a trip down to Boston to show off the game in front of over 70,000 people. Well, we’re not sure that all of them will come to our booth, but here’s hoping.
The greatest thing about PAX is being able to meet with actual customers and fans (or potential fans), and meeting with YouTubers and streamers that can help us get the word out about the game. Beyond that, meeting with press is another great perk of being at PAX and being in the MEGABOOTH means that press will almost surely stop by our booth. Looking forward to another great show!

January 27, 2016: Demo Night, Mini-Putt Egypt Level & Off to PAX South![edit | edit source]
Hello world! This week we're posting one day early because we're going to Texas! Hooray! More on that later in the post.
First up we wanted to say a huge thanks to everyone who came out to IGDA Demo night here in Montreal last night. We had a great time showing Ultimate Chicken Horse again; the first time we showed the game to a large audience was exactly one year ago at the same event. Our little game-baby has grown up and now we got to show it at the end of production, which got a great response. Below is a pic from just before we started, with Rich facing the crowd of almost 600.
We showed some new features at demo night, including some new levels, blocks and characters. In case you missed the video update from last week, we wanted to dive a little more in-depth into one of our new levels, the Pyramid level
The level features a relatively closed off area where you can place sneaky traps, followed by a sphinx that stands up and lies down at intervals, which can mess with your placement of blocks and planning. You can also attach blocks to the sphinx for an even more intense end-of-level challenge.
We'll be showcasing the game at PAX South this weekend which should be really exciting. We'll also be on the Twitch stage so you can see us (I believe) on the front page of Twitch TV from 1:15-1:30 ET (if my time conversion is correct).
Fun fact, for those of you who don't know, Texas is huge! You probably knew that, but the climate is actually pretty varied, so as much as we make jokes about going to the desert, we're not actually going to the desert. Oh, it'll still be warm (especially by Canadian standards), but not likely to be sweltering and dry.
And so we're off! Alex and Richard are heading down while Kyler stays back with our contract artist, Louis, to continue working on the game. It's getting close!!!
